Plastic is clearly having a detrimental effect on our planet, but fortunately, we offer a sustainable packaging solution in the form of paperboard cartons. Cartons are lightweight, which means transporting them requires less fossil fuel than transporting heavier packaging products and causes fewer transportation related greenhouse gas emissions.
Cartons are also recyclable in most households in the United States. Between 2011 and 2018, the availability of carton recycling increased from 37% of households to 62% of households. If the current trend continues, carton recycling will only become more readily available in the coming years.
