At Carton Service CSI, LLC, we are dedicated innovators, always looking for new ways to provide more sustainable packaging. Over the course of the last year, we have acquired two new patents and three new trademarks that will help us do just that.
A lot of companies seek out packaging with see-through windows in order to best display their products to potential customers. Unfortunately, many of the methods that currently exist for manufacturing such cartons have a major flaw; they use adhesive applications that can compromise direct food contact containers, rendering them useless.
We at Carton Service set out to solve this problem. The first of our two new patents—US Patent No. 11,383,474 B2—is for a new way to install transparent windows in gable top cartons. Our new patented product allows consumers to view the contents of a gable top carton without allowing adhesive to come in contact with the food being contained.
We’re also making a splash in the liquid packaging market with the second of our two new patents. US Patent 11,472,594 B2 is for a brand new type of liquid packaging. It’s a paper container designed with a unique closure that effectively keeps liquids from leaching in or out—an ideal solution for a vast array of liquid packaging problems – especially those involving products stored in moist, damp conditions like showers or truck beds.
In addition to our two new patents, we have created three new packaging brands—Cartons4REarth®, Cups4REarth® and Tubs4REarth®. Our goal with these new trademarks is to reach customers in the liquid, food, and health and beauty markets with our sustainable packaging solutions. This year, as part of our commitment to sustainability, we earned FSC ® certification and received a silver EcoVadis sustainability rating.
