Innovation specifically related to paperboard liquid filled packaging used in wet environments
Carton Service CSI, LLC is pleased to announce their third utility patent related to their liquid packaging gable top carton offerings. US Patent No. 11,807,429 B2 can help major CPG companies looking to replace plastic packaging used in wet environments (like showers, sinks and laundry rooms) with paperboard packaging. Previously, it had been thought that paperboard packaging would not hold up in wet environments, but this new patent prevents the container from leaking or leaching. The latest US Patent for Carton Service CSI, LLC expands the approach to containing viscous liquids inside a leak-proof, water-repellant container.
A previous US Patent No. 11,472,594 B2 awarded to Carton Service CSI also provides a unique approach to packaging seals for gable-top cartons that keeps liquid contents protected. These paperboard containers can be used in a wide range of liquid packaging applications (including soap as well as beverages) and provide a viable substitute to plastic bottles and single use containers.
“As we approach our 100th year in business, we continue to innovate especially in the area of liquid gable-top paperboard packaging. Our company culture has always been to think ahead to what customers might need next . Unique contents are going in gable top containers which provide many retail advantages while being environmentally sound. We look forward to seeing what we can do next and more patent applications are in the pipeline.” according to company president Reid Lederer.
