Now the gable topped carton is more versatile than ever. While it’s traditionally thought of for liquid or direct food contact with items such as potato salad or coleslaw, this carton style is gaining popularity due to its product stability. Candy, cookie and even pet food manufacturers are turning to the gable topped carton for shelf presence and brand differentiation.
Providing a barrier to light, bacteria and oxygen, they have long been considered a strong barrier to leaking and spoilage. In comparison to an all-plastic container, today’s cartons have evolved in look and design (with cap closures) providing more colorful and impactful graphics.
